A Fast Method for Detecting and Matching Linear Features in Images
نویسنده
چکیده
A method is proposed for eeciently nding and matching linear features in images. In a rst step markers of these features must be extracted. Combinations of well-known morphological operators can be used for that purpose. One key point is to nd not one, but two sets of markers. The rst set should be a strict subset of the desired features, whereas the second can also include markers of undesired features. In a second, independent step, these markers are tted with ellipses and matched, taking into account their position, orientation, length and width via a score function. We show on a complete example that this approach is simple, reliable and fast.

Human facial generation of example image is used as a requirement for biometric applications for the purpose of identifying individuals. In this paper, face generation consists of three main steps. In the first step, detection of significant lines and edges of the example image are carried out using nonlinear grayscale morphology. Then, hair areas are identified from the face of sample. The fin...
متن کاملA New Method for Detecting Ships in Low Size and Low Contrast Marine Images: Using Deep Stacked Extreme Learning Machines
Detecting ships in marine images is an essential problem in maritime surveillance systems. Although several types of deep neural networks have almost ubiquitously used for this purpose, but the performance of such networks greatly drops when they are exposed to low size and low contrast images which have been captured by passive monitoring systems. On the other hand factors such as sea waves, c...
